Data Sources
Where PoliTrade's disclosure and market data comes from.
U.S. House disclosures
House periodic transaction reports originate with the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives. PoliTrade imports already-parsed records from the free Austin Starks / NexusTrade Congressional Stock Trades dataset each week.
U.S. Senate disclosures
Senate periodic transaction reports originate with the Senate public financial-disclosure system. The same weekly parsed dataset provides normalized events, source links and amendment history.
Executive branch disclosures
Trump’s 2025 annual and 2026 periodic transactions are imported from TIGZIG’s parsed OGE datasets. Coverage follows the publisher’s available filings and may lag the latest government release. Existing executive records outside those feeds are retained.
Market data
Market-price data is used to create modeled performance for securities with validated market symbols. Market data is analytical context and does not establish an official’s actual execution price.
Parsed data publishers
Austin Starks / NexusTrade congressional dataset · TIGZIG Trump disclosure downloads. Publisher snapshots are checked against their file checksums and stored locally. Superseded amendments are excluded from the active imported events; records with missing required fields are held out for review.
Source of record
The government filing remains the authoritative disclosure record. PoliTrade may normalize names, tickers, dates, and ranges to make records searchable, while preserving source references whenever available.
